Workshops and Training

From understanding to action

A keynote can change the way we think. A workshop gives people time to explore those ideas more deeply and work out what they mean for their own lives and workplaces.

For many organisations, the pressures are real and growing. People are stretched and change keeps coming. At the same time, leaders are expected to protect psychological health as seriously as physical safety. My workshops give teams a shared language for those pressures, and practical ways to respond together.

Drawing on decades in education and leadership, alongside my background in positive psychology, I design sessions that blend useful ideas with real conversation.

Two areas sit at the heart of what I offer: Human Structural Integrity and the Identity Realignment Cycle. Both can be adapted for different audiences, from short introductions to in-depth programs.

Two Core Areas of Work

    Human Structural Integrity

What holds us together under pressure

We often respond to challenge by asking people to become more resilient. But what if the bigger opportunity lies in strengthening the human structures they depend on?

Human Structural Integrity offers a different way to understand what helps people and teams withstand pressure without becoming rigid or disconnected. Three connected models help participants understand what can lead to breakdown, and how we can deliberately build and maintain the structures that help prevent it.

BREAKS: Recognising what leads to breakdown

Six conditions that can undermine Human Structural Integrity, including excessive demands, depleted resources, unevenly distributed loads and weakening connections. Participants learn to recognise vulnerabilities and warning signs before they lead to more serious problems.

    CREATE: Building the human structure

Six essential elements that work together to hold people and teams up, from our core sense of who we are to the trust and energy that keep us going. Participants explore what makes these structures strong and where they may need strengthening.

COHERENCE: Maintaining and repairing what we've built

Building strong structures is only the beginning. Participants explore the everyday practices that keep these structures strong, how to recognise emerging strain and what it takes to repair damage when it occurs.

Together, CREATE and COHERENCE offer practical ways to strengthen Human Structural Integrity, reducing vulnerabilities before breakdown occurs.

Participants apply these ideas to real challenges and identify practical steps they can take to support their own wellbeing and performance.

    The Identity Realignment Cycle™

    Finding our way through change

Change doesn't just affect our circumstances. It can unsettle our sense of who we are, where we belong and what our future might look like.

The Identity Realignment Cycle™ offers a way to understand the human experience of change, particularly when familiar roles or ways of seeing ourselves are disrupted.

Through five interconnected phases, participants explore how identity shifts during periods of uncertainty and what helps us find our footing again.

Stability & Congruence: When life feels aligned

Understanding the foundations of our identity and what happens when who we are fits comfortably with the life we're living.

Trigger & Destabilisation: When something changes

Exploring how unexpected events or changing circumstances can unsettle our assumptions and challenge our sense of self.

Disorientation & Discovery: When the familiar no longer fits

Recognising the uncertainty that follows disruption and the new possibilities that can begin to emerge.

Meaning-Making & Integration: Making sense of what has happened

Exploring how we interpret our experiences and begin incorporating change into our evolving identity.

Realignment & Action: Finding a way forward

Reconnecting with what matters and taking meaningful steps towards who we are becoming.

Through reflection and discussion, participants explore where they recognise themselves in the cycle and what might help them move forward. For leaders, it also offers a practical way to understand the human side of organisational change and better support their teams.

Ways to work together

Lunch & Learns

A fresh idea over lunch

Short, engaging sessions that introduce one idea and get people talking, so they head back to their afternoon with something useful.

A session might introduce Human Structural Integrity or explore one part of the Identity Realignment Cycle. It can also draw on a theme from my keynotes.

Ideal for organisations wanting fresh thinking without a big time commitment.

Interactive workshops

Time to explore and apply

Highly participatory half-day or full-day sessions, combining facilitated conversation with activities that help people apply the ideas to their own situation.

The focus is on shared learning and practical next steps.

Training programs

Building knowledge and skills over time

A structured learning experience that combines clear teaching with practical exercises, so skills can develop over time.

Programs can be delivered as extended sessions or a series of shorter modules, tailored to your audience and learning objectives.

Designed around your needs

Any of my signature keynotes can be developed into a workshop or training program, whether the focus is leadership, team culture, personal growth or navigating change.

Sessions can stand alone or follow on from a keynote, and they can form part of existing professional development programs.

I work with you to shape the content around what you're hoping to achieve, for workplaces and schools alike.

Let's explore what's possible

Whether you want to introduce a new idea or give your team time to work through a real challenge, I'd love to help you create a learning experience that makes a difference.
