__________
I empower people and teams to understand what human strength really depends on, and to build the conditions where people grow stronger together.
The difference shows up where it matters most: in people who flourish, even through challenge and change, and in teams that achieve more together than they could alone.
I bring more than thirty years in international education and leadership, along with three master’s degrees, including one in applied positive psychology, the science of wellbeing. My understanding has also been shaped by experiences in some of the most demanding environments on Earth, including Mount Everest, where in May 2026, at 54, I became the first Australian with multiple sclerosis to stand on top of the world.

What I Bring to the Room
I speak at corporate and industry conferences, and at education conferences and events for school leaders and educators. Wherever I speak, my aim is to inspire fresh thinking about human strength, and about what makes more possible.
When I share my story, I explore what made it possible and what nearly stopped it. I bring those experiences together with original thinking that challenges how we understand human strength and what helps people succeed.
Audiences leave with more than inspiration. They gain a fresh perspective on what makes people and teams capable, a shared language for the challenges they face and practical ways to strengthen the conditions that bring out their best.
"The ultimate value of the human experience lies not in the data we collect, but in the truth we inherit when real people share real stories and real wisdom."

Speaking in education
Education is where my career began. Over more than thirty years, I’ve taught in the Australian bush and led schools in Australia and overseas, including stepping into schools facing difficult times to help them rebuild.
Today, I bring that experience to education conferences and school leadership events, and into schools themselves. I also speak at student leadership conferences, helping young people see what’s possible for their own futures.
Speaking for corporates and conferences
Coming from outside the corporate world is exactly what makes my perspective so valuable inside it.
Schools are among the most demanding environments there are, where expectations are relentlessly high and resources are often stretched. Through my work in education and the not-for-profit sector, including helping organisations rebuild through difficult times, I’ve seen up close what people need to hold together when the pressure is on.
Add the lessons I’ve learned at altitude, where the stakes are as high as they get, and I bring a lens that’s rarely heard in a corporate room. It helps your people see familiar challenges with fresh eyes, and understand what it truly takes for people and teams to thrive under pressure.
-
The opportunity isn't just to develop people who can withstand more. It's to strengthen the conditions that make more possible.
-
Within People
Identity, values, energy, self-awareness, confidence and the capacity to adapt.
-
Between People
Trust, communication, connection, shared responsibility and the way human behaviour changes under pressure.
-
Around People
The physical, psychological and emotional conditions, along with organisational systems and expectations, that influence how people function.
We Have PESTLE. We Have STEEPLE. What About PEOPLE?
We plan for economic uncertainty, technological disruption and a rapidly changing world.
But how well prepared are our leaders and teams for the unpredictable dynamics between people, especially when the pressure is on?
Two teams face the same storm. One holds together. The other starts to crack.
The difference isn't simply toughness. It's what holds the people together.
This is the thinking behind Human Structural Integrity, my original work exploring what we can deliberately strengthen within people, between people and around them.
It's about more than withstanding pressure. It's about creating the conditions in which people can flourish and teams can achieve more together.
From the School Fence to the Summit of Everest
As a young girl, I was padlocked to my primary school's front fence by bullies.
You Can't Prescribe High Performance.
But you can create the conditions in which it flourishes.
We keep trying to get more out of people, instead of asking what it takes to bring out the best in them.
Direction matters. But so do the conditions that allow people to grow, contribute and perform at their best.
And those conditions are something we can deliberately build.
